Well we played basketball tonight at Cedar Crest. And my team won every game that we played. We won four when I left but my team was playing when I left so I don’t know if they won again. By some stroke of chance Mark Wagler and I were always on the same team. It was quite fun but now I stink and am sore.
Anyway, It’s still raining. It did stop enought for the grass to dry out and for me to mow it, but about the time I was finished mowing it started to rain again.
I went to “Spring Celebration” today. I wore my ugly glasses, and Steven also wore a pair of glasses taht were quite amaising. They were perfectly round and were bright blue. They looked alot like some that Ozzy used do wear, but the lenses were obviously a different color. I went to the thing with Matt, Steven, RJ-DJ, and Jared. It was possibily the most memorable spring celebration of my life. While I was there some dude died in the parking lot of the Dutch Kitchen. I have no idea who it was though.
Well I’m just about to go back to school now. In three more days I’ll be back to my normal daily school life. That will certainly be nice.
Oh, I almost forgot. Today is Michale Jon’s birthday. I think he’s 11 now.
Well, seeya next time.

Posted in Friends, Music, Stuff that I should have posted several days ago, Swimming on March 30, 2007 by JacobFirst of all, This has been the most disfunctional week of my life. It’s “spring ‘break’.” …If only it were a break. Anyway that mean I’m at home. I had hoped to do alot of school work over break, but thus far I haven’t gotten much done. Mom is making bread for the ministers meetings so she is buisy and so everyone else is buisy too. …or at least I am I’m not sure if anyone else is or not. lol. Umm also Michael Jon and Jordan got this strange idea of shooting a turkey with Jordan’s bow, that is when turkey season comes around. It reminds me of a episode of According to Jim that I saw recently.
In other news… Jeff got his car that he recently purchased.
In other news… Josh left again.
Oh one other piece of news that most of you have probabily already heard, either because you keep up with sports or you have friends that were very disappointed by the fact that KU lost the game that would have gotten them into the Final Four. I’m very sorry for all you loyal fans who were disappointed.
It has been raining all bloody week! Grrr. But it’s Spring Celebration (for those of you who know taht that is) week so it’s only normal to be raining.
Oh btw last friday Steven and Kenneth and I went swimming. After a while Mr. S., Arlyn, and Leroy came too. The water was totally awsome. …after you got used to it.
For those of you who didn’t know today is the day that Marlin King’s new movie, Blades of Glory, comes out. … Oh wait! That’s not Marlin. That’s Will Ferrell!!! Oh my. I’m in shock! I had no idea that that wasn’t Marlin! OK, just kidding.
Anyway that was my “1 1/2 cents”.

Programs Are All Over With!!!
Sorry that was a lame post.

Posted in Friends, Music on March 13, 2007 by JacobWell, I haven’t updated in along time. All I really have to say is that
we had spring programs comming up. So that means you’d better come to
them. And the “Three Muskeeters” “get” to lead congregaional songs at
them. I’ll be leading the song at Center on Wed. night, Arlyn on Sunday,
and David on Thursday. And ya know what. I’m actually a bit worried
about it
anyway that’s about all I have to say. Oh BTW I have chapel
on Friday. It’s about worrying. Anyway seeya

Monday
Posted in Uncategorized on February 6, 2007 by JacobWell, the Super Bowl is over. Sorry I don’t know which number is is
though. What really matters though is who won. So for all of you people
who were at CBS for the weekend or just haven’t stepped outside your
house or turned on the tv at all. The Colts defeated the Bears. I think
the score was 29 to 17. Not sure on that though. Umm one thing that was
interesting to me was that Tony Dungy, the head coach, was the first
African-American to win the Super Bowl. Anyway, so I’m glad for him. You
can probably tell that I’m not much of a football fan and don’t really
know much about the game. However, I would suggest that you go NFL.com
or if you want a more in depth report go to James’ blog.lol. Actually I
have no idea if he even posted about it.
Oh one other point of interest. There are currently two kids from the
India Children’s Choir staying at our house.
Umm oh one other thing that is worth posting about (mainly cause it
happens so infrequently). This is the second day in a row that I’ve
posted! I did seem to get some positive response about the thought of
posting again.
Anyway, I’m feeling quite like the opposite of a cold white snowball
right now. BTW that is another one of those jokes which most people
won’t catch onto. I’ve got “runny” nose. And because of that I have a
really sore nose. Grrrr this is why I told all of you people that we
should skip winter this year! But did you listen? No. And now everyone
is sick! Grrrrr.
In other news.. A massive nuclear explosion has damaged a 23′
underground gas line about a half mile from my house.
in other news.. Wait, no I guess I’ve been misinformed once again. I
guess it wasn’t a nuclear explosion, and it’s not 23′, but it was
something like that.
Well, it seems to me that this random string of words has become quite
lengthy.
On one other thing. My former teacher Will Schmucker had a kid.

Saturday
Posted in Stuff that I should have posted several days ago, Today's events on February 4, 2007 by JacobWell, here’s the post that has been comming for a month! I seriously
can’t believe that It’s been soo long. But I guess time flies when
you’re having fun. One other thing. I do realize that I still have not
posted those pics that I promised to post. And just between me and you.
…I probabily never will.
Anyway, back to life. It seems that there are losts of sick people
around here. And for the most part I’d say that’s a good thing. My main
reason: On friday we let out school around 2:15 because there were lots
people that were at home sick, and most of the people that were at
school were starting to feel sick. So as soon as I finished my job. I
did algebra, and after two hours of algebra, I was done. I got my star
and left. Whew…. that was about the most fun I’ve had in a long time.
Anyway, that was that.
In other news, I think I can finally, after conciderable effort, say
that I’m actually enjoying school. And school work isn’t soo much of a
pain as it used to be. Especially typing. LOL. The reason that is soo
funny. Well, you would have to be in typing class to know. Anyway….
Life is good.
In other news… There is a new couple in the area.
In other news… We made doughnuts this morning with Kenny and Melissa.
Mmmmmm. Deeelicious.
In other news… Please go to the following link and sigh the petition!
Please!

That’s all I have to say. Seeya world!
The Holiday Season
Posted in Friends, Stuff that I should have posted several days ago, Today's events on January 1, 2007 by JacobOn reflection of this past Christmas….
This year: Christmas seemed like not as much of a big deal. Christmas
seemed like more of a bother than a holiday. The annual reading of the
Christmas story seemed shorter. We didn’t have to go to church on
Christmas morning. Josh wasn’t here for the first time ever. But even
though this is the holiday season, let’s not just think about the good
things.
We I actually don’t want to talk about the bad things. Mainly ’cause I
can’t think of any right now.
Well now I’m going to report on our New Years Eve “Party”. Well Lester
Yutzy’s came over. We ate subs. Then everyone except for me watched two
movies. The reason that I didn’t watch is because I hate that type of
movie. Anyway so I did a miserable job of entertaining myself while they
watched the movies, but at least I didn’t have to torture myself by
watching them. Ummm the movies were over by 12 or so, and Lesters leaved
about 20 minutes later.
Oh one other thing of interest: Sams are here. And we enjoied some good
ol’ Nisly family time one Saturday.
Also I parked cars at the the recent wedding. The most enjoyable thing
and rewarding thing about standing out in the rain just to tell cars
where to go was the note that we, the car parkers, recieved. It read as
follows: ” Trafic Coordinators (and guift loaders) — Luke, Virgil,
Matthew, and Jacob. Arrive at Yoder Mennonite by 2:00. Luke will be
leading the charge, so y’all are responsible to listen to him and follow
his expert car parking instruttions. He will come up with a parking plan
ahead of time and communicate with you so you can have a well-rehearsed
parking performance. We will leave it to you guys to determine the best
parking plan.
After “O Day Full of Grace” excuse yourselves without waiting to be
ushered out and load the gifts into Abner’s ban. Marilyn is in charge of
this privess.
Melody will ask Matthew to help load gifts from the foyer if a
significant number of gifts come in after the ceremony.
After the reception, ask Louisa where you can find your gift. We hope
you enjoy it.” That may not ammuse you but we sure got a good laugh out
of it.
Also I have some pics to post sometime, so you need to keep reminding me
to post them.
Happy New Years one and all!!!
Friday
Posted in Friends, Music, Swimming on December 2, 2006 by JacobWell yesterday (Friday) was very interesting. There were about three things that I remember very well. First of all, during music Mr. S. decited that he wanted some variety. So, he wanted to have four people do a quartet. Well he picked one person from each voice part, and somehow they happened all to be in different grades. Well here are the people that he picked: Me (freshmen, tenor), Sheila Ropp (sophomore, soprano), Matt (junior, bass), and Rosy (senior, alto). There were some definate problems. First of all I was very nervous, so, I didn’t sing very loudly. (nobody else did either). Also it’s easier to sing when you sing loudly. I think it was good for me, but I wasn’t very happy about it at the time. Anway, that was that.
The second thing, which actually happened first: My good friend Arlyn (link on the side, visit his blog for a pic) shot a huge buck.
And last but certainly not least… We went swimming. We started a tradition of going swimming on the first day of every month. Sheesh, that water was cold. There was like half inch thick ice that we had to break first too! And yes we captured this on video. Actually after you were out for a while only your legs and feet were cold. But my they were really cold. It hurt to walk for a while cause they were sooooo cold. But don’t let this ever stop you from doing it. I would do it again any day… as long as I was really close to the lader.lol. Anyway that’s that. Can’t wait ’till January.
Another Monday
Posted in Coffee, Friends, Music, Today's events on November 28, 2006 by JacobHmmm… What did I do today? Well two major things stick out to me. First of all: There was basically no coffee at school. There was a very small amount of really haggard, flavored stuff, but we didn’t have any filters for the 10-cup maker so we had to use the 4-cup thing. Also like I said, the coffee was really haggard. The second thing that stuck out to me was our basketball at last break. It certainly would have made a good “YouTube” Video. It was actually extremely fun, but the quality of 4-on-4 half-court basketball is usually not very good…. Today the quality was completely “undefined”. (BTW that is a little joke between Mr.S., Ryan, and I.) Oh I just thought of one other thing… Music… John wasn’t there. We missed you John:( Anyway, That’s about all I can think of for today. Sorry my posts have been so infrequent.

Wednesday
Posted in Music, Today's events on November 16, 2006 by JacobWell today we had music… The exersize was pretty dificult today, but
we did fairly good. As some of you will remember this is the first time
that the “Three Mosqueteerrs” (pronounced Mu skeed ers ) performed im
music. Um we made some mistakes, but then again so did everyone else. Um
everyone finished their sightsinging exersizes relatively early, so we
worked on some othere exersizes as a class for a while.
In other news.. we did a biology lab today. David and I did it together,
and I don’t think that we got any points for professionilism either!
Just ask Mr. S. We really sucked. He will whole-heartily affirm that.
Anyway I’m glad that that’s about over with.
At buisness meeting tonight we discussed gravestones… Basically
they’re trying to make a rule that at the churches cemetery all
gravestones have to be gray and no more than 18″ tall. Please, give me a
break! There was a pretty good arguement which I enjoied alot. And my
message for all of you readers is: If you are a member of one of the
churches that has a say in this, vote against the rule. Personally I
don’t care if a gravestone is gray, but I do think that a whole cemetry
with gravestones that look exactly the same will look really dumb. And
my other problem is making all sorts of rules that are pathetic just for
the fun of making rules.
… And that’s my message for all of you. Thanks and goodnight.
